Heidi Thomson-Daly, the Principal Consultant of HT & CO., has a ceaseless passion for doing what she loves most:  working with great nonprofits and those that lead them to raise more money and up their impact.  Known for her infectious enthusiasm and track record of success, Heidi uses an invigorating, customized approach to meeting her client’s needs, infusing innovation, analysis, strategy, and creative ingenuity into every project.

An accomplished fundraiser with 18 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Heidi consultants and trains nationally, specializing in campaign readiness and feasibility, major gifts, fundraising performance and event strategy.  With her expertise in change management and organizational effectiveness in tow, Heidi also serves as an Interim Chief Development Officer / Director of Development Director for organizations experiencing transitions in key leadership.  Among them have been Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, New Beginnings, EarthCorps, Year Up Puget Sound, Westside Baby, Hands on Children’s Museum and Childhaven.

Along with Jennifer Weber of Cornerstone Consulting, Heidi is co-founder of the Major Gifts Launch Pad, an engaging, hands on training series for organizations eager to build an effective major gifts program, or strengthen the one they already have.  When she’s not consulting or training, Heidi is likely teaching a class or writing an article.  For four years she has been Adjunct Faculty at the University of Washington where she teaches the Fieldwork for Fundraisers course in the Certificate in Fundraising Management program.  She is also a contributor to Northwest Nonprofit Notes, a blog dedicated to reflections, rants and resources on the art and science of nonprofit practice.

Before founding HT & CO., Heidi served as the Senior Director of Development and Communications for Women’s Funding Alliance, where she was instrumental in the local launch of the Women Moving Millions campaign, resulting in the organizations first three $1 million gifts.  Preceding this she spent a decade leading and fundraising for a diverse range of organizations in New York and New England, including the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation where she consulted with and coached grantees for three years.

Heidi earned her M.Ed. in Organizational Management from Antioch New England University and was honored in 2008 by BusinessWest with their Top 40 Under Forty award.  A loyal member of AFP Advancement Northwest, Heidi speaks frequently on topics related to fundraising and nonprofit management.
